General questionsI was wondering if your tracker program can reverse a route I save and show me the way back to where I started?A Track log in Tracker consists in a set of connected waypoints, there
is no notion of directions implied. When connected to a GPS, an arrow
shows your actual position and the direction you are moving to. If you
are on a Track log you will see the route underneath and the arrow on
top. Atlas vs. Tracker Program?Atlas displays bitmaps
maps and shows your current position, direction, speed, altitude, etc... Track color-- I like this new feature a lot. But would it be possible to have some brighter colors to choose from? All of the 256 colors available in the current mode are shown. Strange
colors may be shown if the current map has its own color table (Only for
Palm Database maps). Is it possible to take an existing GPS track file stored on PC and convert\load to a Palm running Tracker?Currently you can export tracks logs from your PDA to your PC via the
Log-Export function.
Trouble shooting:Tracker is working, but when I select Log.Export I don't see anything happen and can't find any output. I tried this with a track of 279 points selected. Can you describe what I should observe on the screen, what the exported csv file is named and where it is located? On PDA screen nothing happens during the export process. The export function
converts and saves the current tracks log in the <tracks-log-name.csv>
ascii file stored on external memory under the /GPSpilot/Tracks/
directory. I have gotten all the functions working with the demo version of Tracker. However, I really need to get the export option to function for this to work well for me. I am running an m505 with a memory card installed? Hard buttonsExternal memory means sd card, compact flash or memory stick memory support The export function converts and saves the current tracks log in the <trackslog_name.csv> ASCII file stored on external memory under the /GPSpilot/Tracks/ directory Each line describes a track point record following this format :
Compatibility. Exported files are directly readable by all major data
sheet software and had been mainly tested on Microsoft Excel. Hard buttons don't work as mentioned for my Tungsten T3Actually, in the 5.6 versions and for devices with a 5 ways navigation pad, the raw of the 4 hard buttons are not anymore redefined for application purpose. So the behavior you are watching is normal. For these devices, we have redefined the 5 ways navigation pad buttons as follow:
